The UK's former flag carrier airline has announced a change to its rules in favour of passengers with leg casts. At the start of January, a spokesperson for the Passenger Medical Clearance Unit (PMCU) of British Airways told insurers and assistance companies that the company would accept passengers travelling with full leg casts on its short-haul routes in Euro Traveller and Domestic cabins, subject to clearance from PMCU. Extra seats can be purchased for elevation, subject to availability of moveable arm rests on each flight.
